I started making Twinkletoes about 10 years ago, ironically. I made 2 at first, as a tribute to a horse I had to put down, and I made them from his front shoes.
I've since made somewhere in the neighborhood of 65-70 of them, mostly in the past 6 months. I've been accepted into 2 different galleries, I've done 3 different art shows, and I've sold quite a few. I also do beaded spurs, stirrups, and bookends, as well as dreamcatchers made from horseshoes, and I've been playing around with painting horse portraits on barnwood too.
